The electrification program in Indonesia aims to reduce fossil fuel consumption by increasing energy conversion from gas and oil to electricity supplied directly by the State Electricity Company (PLN). This program involves the development of sustainable energy infrastructure, utilization of renewable energy sources, and increasing the capacity for electricity conversion usage such as stoves and electric vehicles. Electric vehicles, such as electric cars, are technological achievements that are currently widely implemented. Formula electric cars are rare due to their specific use. In Indonesia, Puspernas organizes the Indonesian Electric Car Competition (KMLI), which is held annually at the Bandung State Polytechnic (Polban). The Kalimantan Institute of Technology has regularly participated in the competition over the past two years but has yet to achieve national success. This is the main reason for this research. This study evaluates key factors such as chassis design, battery efficiency, weight optimization, durability, and electric car function testing. The research stages include problem identification, theoretical basis review through literature study, evaluation of previous cars, car design planning, design and analysis using Finite Element Analysis (FEA), followed by the fabrication of the formula electric car and finally prototype function testing. The research outputs include scientific publications (SINTA 4), ITK formula electric car prototype products (TKT 4) which are also expected to support SDGs 7 (Clean Energy), and scientific articles on the ITK website.
